Bouncing balls on fire!
A bloody game where both teams seemed to have forgotten the ball.
The Saints started by failing to catch a pass, and the ball bounced around an unusual amount, sideline betting went sky-high whereas a goblin had managed to replace the ball by a Squig or not. Both Elves and Orcs failed to pick the ball up several times. And when either team actually managed to get hold of the ball they were quickly tackled and the ball resumed its erratic bouncing.
The Pirates managed to stall the Saints advance by pounding the elves into the stones in the middle of the pit.
Second half stared by a deep kick from the Saints, the Pirates took advantage of the long flight time and started their charge immediately, taking the Elves off guard. The Pirates double teamed both the Elven Blitzers sending one to the infirmary and the other one had to be carried off under a white blanket.
This seemed to deter the remaining Elves for the rest of the match, they dodged away as soon as any Orc approached, But they still managed to stall the Orcs sufficiently for a 0-0 game. |
