The game Body Count - Tüskarna från Linghed (Season 7, Round 3) was the battle between the two bottom teams in Group A. Tüskarna från Linghed being at the absolute last place, closely followed by Body Count and both of the teams really needed to win.
What started out as perfect Blood Bowl weather quickly changed to very sunny as the Undead kicked to the Humans. Tüskarna secured the ball and moved up slightly left to the middle of the pitch. Some unfortunate plays by the Undead and two knock outs by the Humans meant that  Klaus had no real problems running in the first touchdown of the game.
As Body Count set up to receive the weather changed again, now the rain was pouring down! Clearly the weather gods were fickle. The Undead pushed into the middle of the pitch, but failed a handoff! Ralf made sure Mr. Expendable took no part in this game, or the next, and his team mates closed in on the ball and made sure no more touchdowns were had in the first half.
The Undead shambled to set up for their drive in the second half as the weather changed again, became still, and would so remain for the rest of the game
A fumbled pass by Assamite II gave the Humans the chance they needed. They all piled in and a serious scrum ensued.
Tüskarna från Linghed came out on top, getting one of the skeletons of the pitch. Lothar in an outbreak of unmotivated anger beat Bump so badly the wight could not even regenerate and was good and proper dead!
While Body Count were in shock Klaus snapped up the ball and made his second touchdown in the game.
Outnumbered and pressed for time the Undead made a desperate attempt for a touchdown. Unfortunately Bonk II fell down as he tried to dodge through the Human defense, leaving the ball in the open.
His team mates pushed Symbol away from Leopold, leaving him free for the last minute pass. Klaus picked up the ball and truly became the hero of the match with a perfect pass! Leopold, his smile ever confident, caught it and made the long run to the endzone without problem.
Clearly not the game Body Count wanted, with one death and one miss next. Tüskarna från Linghed on the other hand could not have wished for a better game and are now well past the last place in their group. |
